Mother of Eden Hair Care was created to help parents and caregivers feel more confident caring for children with textured hair.
Founded by Jenn Gordley, an Aveda trained advanced cosmetologist and textured hair care specialist, Mother of Eden combines professional hair education with the personal understanding of raising children with hair textures different from her own.
The goal is not simply to teach hairstyles. It is to help caregivers understand the child’s hair, build healthy routines, and create positive hair care experiences rooted in patience, dignity, and respect.

Workshops That Support the Whole Child
Mother of Eden partners with adoption agencies, foster care organizations, kinship programs, schools, support groups, and community organizations.
Workshops can cover textured hair fundamentals, wash day routines, detangling, product selection, protective styling basics, positive hair identity, and caregiver confidence.
Programs may be offered virtually or in person for parent groups, agency staff, and caregiver communities.
